Full Job Description
This is an onsite position on 2nd shift M-F, 3pm-11pm in Newark DE and will supervise about 10 operators.

Role Overview
  • Directs production activities to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals.
  • Prioritize schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and material availability.
  • Plan and manage procedures and budgets; may recommend and control capital and labor expenditures.
  • Develop schedules and manpower plans for assigned areas.
  • Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure efficient operations.
  • Provides day-to-day supervision, guidance, and problem resolution for a team of manufacturing employees.
  • Applies established policies, procedures, and practices, using sound judgment within defined guidelines.
  • Monitors daily operations and requires full knowledge of the assigned functional area.


Key Responsibilities
  • Own overall department performance and oversight.
  • Collaborate with Group Leads and associates to improve engagement, product quality, and cost efficiency.
  • Review, evaluate, and implement changes to specifications and requirements.
  • Ensure production volumes align with the approved plan; actively support forecasting and budgeting.
  • Drive systematic improvements using KPIs and performance data.
  • Partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Equipment Engineering, and Management to improve cycle time, tool availability, processes, and yield.
  • Create SOPs and train operators to transfer process know-how to manufacturing.
  • Work cross-functionally to enhance manufacturing capabilities for current and future products.
  • Participate in NPI projects, ensuring smooth transition from design to volume production.
  • Promote a compliance-focused culture; lead timely investigations, root cause analysis, and CAPA for nonconformances.
  • Support the implementation of lean manufacturing across the organization.
  • Build strong cross-functional networks (Supply Chain, R&D, Sourcing, Finance, etc.) to drive end-to-end improvements.
  • Recruit, lead, and develop department personnel.


Education & Experience
  • Preferred: AA/AS degree (BA/BS preferred).
  • 5+ years of relevant manufacturing experience.
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with manufacturing scheduling and lean manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with high-precision mechanical and electrical industrial products.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.


Compensation

The annualized base salary range for this role is $71,300- $118,000 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.
