Summary of Position:

Help lead a patient-centered primary care practice where teamwork, operational excellence, and exceptional service come together.

MedStar Shah Primary Care in Crofton, Maryland, is seeking an organized, resourceful, and service-driven Practice Operations Supervisor to support the daily management of the practice. In this role, you will partner closely with the Practice Administrator, physicians, and staff to promote efficient operations, develop a strong team, optimize patient flow, and ensure patients receive high-quality, coordinated care.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist with overseeing daily practice operations, patient and provider flow, schedule capacity, and the delivery of efficient, high-quality care.
  • Support the recruitment, orientation, training, coaching, and development of staff in partnership with the Practice Administrator.
  • Proactively identify and resolve operational concerns while communicating essential information to physicians, staff, and leadership.
  • Monitor front-end billing activities, including authorizations, fee tickets, charge audits, collections, and daily deposit documentation, to support accurate and timely reimbursement.
  • Maintain compliance with organizational policies, mandatory training requirements, healthcare regulations, and CPT and ICD coding standards.
  • Coordinate facilities, equipment, and other practice resources to provide a safe, organized, and productive environment for patients, physicians, and staff.

Minimal Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Three to four years of progressively responsible experience in a healthcare setting required.
  • Experience working directly with physicians required.
  • Knowledge of healthcare operations, billing processes, and CPT and ICD coding regulations.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to coach employees, manage competing priorities, resolve concerns, and support a fast-paced practice environment.

This position has a hiring range of

USD $59,820.00 - USD $101,836.00 /Yr.
