  • Oversee the servicing of fire alarm systems and medical gases.
  • Teach and train staff across various trades for skill enhancement.
  • Supervise construction and painting projects for facility improvements.

Full Job Description
Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Supervisor of Engineering - Brooklyn.

In this role, the successful candidate Position has supervisory responsibility over daily operations, projects and maintenance staff. The Supervisor will have the responsibility for the proper operation of all hospital plant equipment, and in the absence of senior management will assume responsibility for departmental operations. Duties include the monitoring of office computerized systems, teaching and training different trades, the inspection and upkeep of all rooms and HVAC, boilers, A/C units, and alarms.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform other related duties as required
  • Supervise daily operations and maintenance staff
  • Distribution of work orders and check for completion
  • Monitor office computerized systems, HVAC, boilers, A/C units, alarms etc.
  • Monitor and service fire alarm systems, and medical gases
  • Monitor, service and repair high and low pressure boilers
  • Monitor, service and repair emergency generators and Co-Gen
  • Teaching and training different trades
  • Supervise construction and painting projects
  • Monitor and keeps records of statement of conditions
  • Inspection and upkeep of all mechanical rooms
  • Capable to read blueprints, drawings, and schematics

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma.
  • 5+ years related experience.
  • Must have substantial experience on boilers, air condition and maintenance field.
  • Q01 COQ Refrigeration Engineer required upon hire.
  • NYCFD Certificates of Fitness G35, F36, S95, G17, S12-S14 required (if not present at hire, will have 45 days after hire to obtain).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Trade School graduate.
  • Hospital Experience.
