Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 3-5 years' supervisory experience in a skilled trade unionized setting.
• Exposure to Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement processes.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), OHSA, and WHMIS regulations.
• Preferred engineering background for a technical edge.
• Intermediate skills in computer applications, particularly SAP.
• Familiarity with manufacturing systems and processes.
• Experience in Beverage and Food Manufacturing is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all facility equipment meets company maintenance standards.
• Maintain compliance with federal, provincial, and company regulations.
• Monitor Quality Index (QI) and recommend solutions for quality issues.
• Analyze and report on budget versus planned forecasts monthly.
• Conduct departmental and safety meetings regularly.
• Develop and coach workforce for skill enhancement.
• Communicate plans and strategies effectively within the department.
• Oversee and approve departmental scheduling and contractor forms.
