Full Job Description
The Laboratory Services Supervisor performs a variety of standardized and highly specialized assays in a specific section of the Clinical Laboratory. As Supervisor, the individual is responsible for technical and staff supervision, administrative management of the section and for assuring proficiency of staff, accurate instrument operation, performance of maintenance and troubleshooting measures, quality control, quality assurance and proficiency testing. The supervisor is responsible for the departmental budget, employee relationships, customer service, performance improvement, and maintaining intra and interdepartmental communication. 24/7 accountability for dual campuses.

Minimum Education:
Bachelor Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or any equivalent science discipline.

Minimum Experience/Knowledge:
Minimum three (3) years of experience as a clinical laboratory scientist in an accredited laboratory.
Microsoft Office / Computer Application knowledge
Writing and Verbal Communication Skills
Demonstrated ability to supervise and instruct laboratory personnel in one or more departments of the clinical laboratory.

Preferred Experience/Knowledge:
Five (5) years of experience as a clinical laboratory scientist in an accredited laboratory.
CAP/JCAHO/COLA Laboratory Accreditation experience or equivalent

Required License/Certification:
Valid Clinical Lab Scientist license or Limited license from the State of California.
ASCP certification (MT(ASCP) or MLS(ASCP) preferred but not required.

The salary range for this position is $110,000 to $160,000.
