  • Coordinate maintenance of facility and equipment, managing staffing and work performance.

Responsibilities & Expectations:

Integrated Power Services (IPS) is seeking a dedicated Supervisor to join our team. The Supervisor will ensure the safe work of employees, train direct reports, and support the day-to-day management of the service center.

  • Maintain a hazard free environment on the production floor
  • Ensure direct reports are adequately trained and have an identified future development plan.
  • Maintain overall training plan and required certifications for hourly employees.
  • Assist with technical training and advise direct labor work force on motor repair/refurbishment techniques.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate hourly labor requirements on the shop floor to support the income tear downs, inspections, production repair jobs, and field service jobs.
  • Participate in weekend management and perform necessary capacity planning to support the production schedule.
  • Ensure that all customer requirements such as inspections, data collection, and delivery of materials are being met.
  • Assist with coordination of customer visits and communicate technical and scheduling support to customers as needed.
  • Support the Quality System by editing process documentation, work instructions, and process standards.
  • Maintain disposition participation and signature responsibility. Support customer qualifications and Quality and Engineering related customer quality issues.
  • Coordinate the maintenance of the facility and equipment.
  • Responsible for staffing of hourly workforce, and management of personnel in such areas as time logging, job performance to work plans, and overtime tracking/authorization.
  • Able to lead, mentor, and coach technically skilled staff.
  • Create production operating cost budget for approval and is responsible to track and achieve cost elements of the budget.
  • Participate in company strategic growth planning activities.

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Associates Degree (industrial, mechanical, or electrical) or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of electric motor/generator manufacture process or repair techniques.
  • Requires the ability to relate well with others in a professional and knowledgeable manner.
  • Continuous improvement and/or lean manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with industrial environmental and safety programs/practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Machine shop knowledge preferred.
  • Must have valid Driver's License.
  • Must be able to work weekends.

Pay Rate Details: $80,000 - $90,000 per year
