PurposeThe California Water Quality Supervisor oversees compliance efforts at Liberty's 7 water systems (Bellflower/Norwalk, Lynwood, Compton, Mesa Crest, Bellview, Apple Valley & Yermo). The position is based in our Downey office location. The role reports to Liberty's Senior Manager for Water Quality.
Accountabilities- Planning & coordinating required sampling + maintaining sampling readiness
- Liaison with contract labs and Liberty operations staff
- Managing receipt of water quality data, validation and archive
- Submission of regulatory compliance reports (including annual CCR & eAR)
- Responding to customer complaints
- Engagement with State regulators & EPA
- Support for implementation of Cross Connection Control Program implementation and reporting
Education and Experience- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years of water industry or related experience
- Certified Water or Wastewater Operator (must obtain within 6 months of hire date)
- Excellent Organizational and Communication Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams)
- Demonstrated Experience Engaging with State Regulators and/or Water Utility Customers
Compensation DataFull base salary range $120,000.00- $160,000.00 per year*Liberty considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education, training and skills, and geographic location.
