About the Team:

The Manufacturing team owns all process development, fabrication strategy, and production equipment for Terran R, our next generation, reusable rocket. This team has a wide variety of responsibilities - from factory floor layout, to developing complex tooling for novel processes, and interfacing with our vehicle engineering team to heavily influence design of the rocket. We leverage our deep expertise to translate engineering requirements into highly optimized production lines, working cross functionally to consistently enhance the vehicle program.

In this role, the Supervisor of the Fluids Factory will be responsible for leading a team of Tube Benders, OTW technicians, Manual welders, and precision cleaning technicians in fabricating fluid lines for Terran-R Vehicle and Engine production. This role is instrumental in managing strategic development and daily execution of fluid line fabrication operations, critical hardware lifts, and transportation. This is a 1st shift position with a standard schedule of 5AM - 3:30PM PT, Monday through Friday.

About the Role:
  • Lead and mentor a growing team of fabricators, welders, and assembly technicians, providing daily technical direction, career development, and performance coaching
  • Set and maintain priorities for your team to meet evolving program schedules and ensure hardware is delivered on-time and in-spec
  • Help establish process standards and hold technician team accountable to these processes to ensure quality is maintained
  • Communicate daily/weekly progress to upper management including any blockers with proposed solutions

About You:
  • High school diploma or equivalency certification
  • 5+ years of aerospace manufacturing experience or related field with at least 2+ years as a people leader
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead teams and influence cross-functional stakeholders
  • Experience with welding processes including GTAW and OTW • Experience with Lean Manufacturing Principles
  • Self-Starter with an eagerness to learn and excel

Nice to haves but not required:
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products and Smartsheets
  • Experience building teams from the ground up, including hiring, onboarding, and mentorship
