    Primary Responsibilities

    The Lead, Inbound Transportation Finance is responsible for leading the end-to-end financial ecosystem supporting inbound transportation across both KeHE and Trademark. This role owns the full lifecycle of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, ensuring accuracy, visibility, and control across all inbound transactions. This lead will drive alignment between operational and financial systems, ensuring all revenue and expenses are properly captured, reconciled, and optimized. In addition to overseeing a small but highly accountable team, this role is responsible for building scalable processes, resolving discrepancies, and enabling a stable, standardized, and auditable inbound network.

    Essential Functions

    DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Lead and oversee the end-to-end inbound financial ecosystem, including both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
    • Ensure timely, accurate, and fully reconciled financial transactions across all inbound freight activity
    • Drive alignment between operational systems (e.g., TMS) and financial systems to ensure complete data integrity
    • Manage, coach, and develop a small team, fostering accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement
    • Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies across invoices, payments, and revenue streams
    • Establish and maintain strong reconciliation processes to ensure financial accuracy and audit readiness
    • Partner cross-functionally with Transportation, Finance, and external partners to improve process flow and transparency
    • Deliver clear reporting, insights, and performance metrics tied to inbound financial performance
    • Lead process standardization and scalability efforts across KeHE and Trademark platforms
    • Support system enhancements and integrations that improve AR/AP efficiency and visibility
    • Act as the escalation point for complex financial or operational issues impacting inbound flows
    • Other duties and projects as-assigned

    SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

    • Strong understanding of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes within transportation or logistics
    • Experience working across interconnected systems (TMS, ERP, financial platforms)
    • High attention to detail with strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to connect operational activity to financial outcomes
    • Demonstrated lead capability with experience managing and developing teams
    • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; able to identify root causes and drive solutions
    • Effective communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
    • Process-driven mindset with a focus on standardization and scalability
    • Proficiency in Excel and financial/reporting tools

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience)
    • 5+ years of experience in finance, transportation, logistics, or related field
    • 2+ years of lead or supervisor or team management experience preferred
    • Experience with transportation finance, freight audit/payment, or TMS platforms strongly preferred
    • Experience with process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus
