Full Job Description
Primary Objective of Position: The Supervisor of Facilities Engineering & Grounds will be accountable for developing and executing (through oversight and project management) a team that is accountable for design, review and implementation of new processes or improvements to current operations or construction of a manufacturing or related facility. In addition, overseeing the reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facets of the facilities.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Partners with Maintenance, Manufacturing Engineering and Site Leadership to Develop, Implement and Maintain major capital projects that deliver increased safety, quality, productivity, velocity and profit.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of strategic facility planning.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to business unit and enterprise.
  • Supervise cost reduction activities, systemic improvement activities, and establishment of quality and safety controls and improvements.
  • Provide data associated to identify key areas to improve operating model and lower operating costs.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance of all compressed air systems and associated equipment, Maintenance vehicles & equipment, fire suppression equipment, solid waste/recycling program, grounds maintenance, and building repairs.
  • Perform facility inspections and report on condition affecting operations.
  • Prepare and submit summary reports detailing condition of buildings and recommend actions to be taken
  • Maintain compliance to City, County, and State ordinances and codes
  • Support any afterhours building needs and activities as required
  • Attend training sessions and seminars as requested
  • Other assigned tasks as mutually agreed upon

Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree, or technical degree with experience preferred
  • 5 years or more of related experience preferred
  • Project management experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and general computer utilization knowledge
  • Proficient with CAD software
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Interpersonal skills and the ability to collaboratively build relationships with stakeholders, including internal staff, external partners, and others.
