SUMMARY:

The Supervisor Direct Lending is responsible for assisting the Manager in leading a group of individuals whose focus is on underwriting consumer loans to achieve organizational goals, drive revenue and achieve operational excellence. Plays a vital role in optimizing team performance to enhance the member experience by planning, organizing, monitoring, and supporting the daily activities within the Direct and Indirect Lending team. Coaches team members on lending updates based on underwriting and delinquency trends as needed.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Assist in establishing and tracking departmental and individual goals for staff that are consistent with the Credit Union's strategic plan and annual objectives
  • Supervises Loan Officers and resolves escalated member/team issues
  • Coach staff to cross-sell and track achievement against referral goals, provide training on opportunity recognition techniques
  • Guide the Loan Officers in underwriting of consumer loan applications and identifying leads and opportunities for other Teachers products to deepen the member relationship
  • Support timely communication of loan decisions and other lending opportunities to the branch representatives assisting the applicants and discuss loan denials with applicants
  • Perform monthly, quarterly and annual production reports
  • Participate in lending systems UAT programs
  • Test new LOS functionality and report defects uncovered
  • Make recommendations on policy and procedure changes based on observation and specific scenarios in the lending environment
  • Review and recommend product enhancements to maintain a competitive landscape and work with program management on product roll out
  • Comply with Teachers policies, procedures, guidelines and related laws/regulations, and ensure that staff comply
  • Perform other duties as needed upon request by immediate supervisor
  • Perform all duties inherent in the role of a supervisor

The good faith range for this position is $84,300 to $101,133 annually. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications and operational needs. The salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
