This role is part of Alcon's Engineering function, a team focused on improving quality, processes, products, packaging and materials across our business to help deliver brilliant outcomes. The Supervisor, Automation & Control Engineering (Management Path), is primarily responsible for leading a team in designing, developing, and maintaining instrument/electrical and automation control systems. You will apply control theory, analyze system behavior, and ensure efficient task completion. Strong supervisory skills, communication, and problem-solving are essential.
In this role, a typical day will include: - Oversee team members in designing, developing, implementing, operating, and maintaining control systems in manufacturing
- Support and manager team of automation technicians that support 24/7 facility
- Ensure efficient task completion and adherence to processes
- Make day-to-day decisions affecting team members
- Foster a culture of excellence through performance management and talent development
- Drive positive employee relations and enhance engagement and recognition
- Ensure adherence to GxP regulations and Standard Operating Procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation and rigorous quality control
- Complete all required training and meet individual job requirements
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON: - Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Assoc.+16yrs; M.S.+0 yrs)
- The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
- 2 Years of Relevant Experience
- 1 Years of Demonstrated Leadership
- Location: Onsite Fort Worth- North Mfg
- Travel Requirements: 0 - 10%
