Full Job Description
As a Production Supervisor at MKS Inc, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality and cost objectives. Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, materials supply, sales forecast and production ramp planning. Plans and administers procedures and budgets. Makes budgetary recommendations on capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor. Selects and develops personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the production function. Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas. You will report to the Production Manager.
This role is scheduled for the second shift, running from 3:30 PM to midnight, Monday through Friday

34 Develop a Capacity Staffing model based on capacity plan for Factory
34 Performance management; annual reviews, goals and objectives, feedback, disciplinary issues, staffing: interview, hire, termination
34 Ensure compliance with all processes, procedures and protocols within the manufacturing activity
34 Schedule and facilitate daily production meetings to prioritize workflow in fabrication, assembly and test work cells in support of the Master Production Schedule
34 Coordinate shipping and receiving priorities with logistics department
34 Ensure all tools are calibrated per calibration schedule
Skills You Bring:
34 Bachelor's degree required or 3-5 years of related experience.
34 Able to direct and supervise production and team leaders
34 Experience with time and attendance management - tracking & scheduling (must be in the vacation form) PTO, managing sick time and over time, managing shifts, managing start/stop times.
34 Problem resolution; process, technical, material, personal, interpersonal, cross functional
34 Be the primary point of escalation when personnel, supply or quality issues arise
34 Identify material shortages in production and coordinate expediting with Purchasing and Planning departments
34 Able to resolve problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
34 Make budgetary recommendations on capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor
34 Can support implementation and maintain 6S and Lean activities in all areas of operations
34 Help to define and implement standard operating procedures and workmanship standards
34 Experience training and coaching employees with job duties, safety procedures and company policies
34 Process Management
34 Develop a capacity plan based on capacity tool, demand and forecast (labor, equipment) that will then drive a facilities plan as well as staffing plan
34 Maintain/Optimize training matrix and cross-training plan (skills matrix updated and maintained in VF by supervisors only)
34 Drive Continual improvement program (SSQA); Quality, efficiency, cycle time, first pass yield, scrap, labor etc.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions
34 Activities include sitting, standing, and typing for extended periods.
34 Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
34 Requires good manual dexterity and coordination.
34 Occasionally moves/positions objects up to 50 lbs.
34 Regularly handles objects at various heights (below, at, and above shoulder level).
34 Must be able to communicate information clearly and exchange accurate details.
34 Operates in a professional office/manufacturing environment.
34 Frequent use of computers and office productivity equipment.
34 Ability to observe documents and details at close range.
34 Noise level in the work environment is typically average.
Compensation and Benefits: Pay Range: $71,025.00 - 118,375.00
This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.
Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS [or as applicable].
