About The Position
The Supervising Engineer is responsible for the successful development, engineering, and support of commissioning plans primarily within Power Operations. The Supervising Engineer is supported by Commissioning Engineers, Project Engineers, Project Managers, Power Operations Services specialists, A/Es, contractors, outside service organizations and others.
Key responsibilities include:
• Lead and manage a team of commissioning engineers.
• Foster a culture of safety and zero unsafe acts by championing safety efforts, achieving safety objectives and ensuring that safety is the top priority of every co-worker within the team.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the team in development and planning of commissioning plans for start-up of new and refurbished equipment including technical design reviews, factory acceptance tests, and field activities.
• Serve as the primary commissioning authority during development of site specific and project plans following established policies and procedures.
• Assure that commissioning plan activities are scheduled, tracked, and accurately reported on.
• Drive results by allocating resources and removing obstacles to effectively execute goals.
• Build trust by developing relationships within and across teams to facilitate effective collaboration.
• Be strategic by developing a vision for the team that addresses short-term needs while considering long-term objectives.
• Support of Power Operations is primary responsibility, but also be able to support Renewables and Customer Operations as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor or Masters of Science Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university is required. Bachelor or Masters of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred. P.E. license preferred. Project Management Professional certification preferred. Five or more years of relevant experience required. Relevant experience includes electrical engineering, testing, and commissioning at electricity generating facilities, transmission facilities, and substations. Ten or more years of relevant experience preferred. Team leadership or supervisory experience preferred. General understanding of power plant operations and processes preferred.

Compensation Range:
$131,900.00 - $204,400.00
At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
