Full Job Description
The Low Voltage Superintendent will oversee and manage all aspects on Low Voltage projects within mission-critical data center environments. #XST

What You Will Do...
  • Lead, supervise, and mentor low-voltage installation teams, including technicians, foremen, and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to project schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements.
  • Plan, organize, and oversee daily field operations for large-scale hyperscale data center projects.
  • Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and resources to support project milestones and customer expectations.
  • Conduct daily site walks to monitor installation progress, workmanship, safety compliance, and workforce productivity.
  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for low-voltage installation activities, coordinating with clients, general contractors, project managers, and trade partners.
  • Participate in construction meetings, providing updates on manpower, schedule status, production metrics, risks, and recovery plans.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment while enforcing company and customer safety policies.
  • Oversee installation of structured cabling infrastructure, including fiber optic and copper systems within hyperscale data center environments.
  • Direct installation activities involving cable tray systems, ladder rack, basket tray, J-hooks, innerduct, pathways, and support structures.
  • Manage large-scale fiber and copper cable pulls through conduits, trays, and raceway systems while ensuring adherence to project specifications.
  • Oversee cable dressing, routing, labeling, testing, and documentation activities according to customer standards and industry best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with TIA/EIA, BICSI, customer specifications, and project quality requirements.
  • Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, commissioning, and other trade contractors to maintain schedule alignment and prevent conflicts.
  • Monitor material inventories, tool accountability, and equipment utilization to support uninterrupted project execution.
  • Review construction drawings, cable schedules, floor plans, rack elevations, pathway drawings, and installation details to ensure proper field execution.
  • Identify and resolve installation challenges, manpower constraints, schedule impacts, and field coordination issues.
  • Support testing, commissioning, turnover, and closeout activities.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, production tracking, manpower logs, safety documentation, and project records.
  • Manage punch-list completion, quality audits, and final turnover deliverables.
  • Generate RFIs, field change requests, and other project documentation as required.

What you will need to succeed...
  • High School Diploma or GED required; technical certifications or vocational training in electrical systems, controls, or a related field are highly preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in electrical installation, with at least 3-5 years specifically supervising Low Voltage infrastructure projects in data center or critical facility environments
  • Demonstrated expertise in conduit installation, including hand, mechanical, and hydraulic bending
  • Proven experience in cable pulling, termination, and testing procedures
  • Strong background in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, control diagrams, and one-line diagrams
  • Experience managing multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously
  • In-depth knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and relevant industry standards
  • Thorough understanding of data center critical infrastructure, including mechanical and electrical systems
  • Proficiency in low-voltage wiring, control circuits, and communication protocols (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, Ethernet/IP)
  • Strong leadership, team management, and mentoring abilities
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, clients, and subcontractors
  • Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
