Superintendent to join our
Newark Air Train project a
t Newark International Airport in Newark, NJ
DESCRIPTION:As a
Superintendent at Tutor Perini O&G Joint Venture., reporting to the
Project Executive, you will have the opportunity to:
- Supervise construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule.
- Assume responsibility for planning, coordinating and supervising onsite functions (scheduling, subcontractor coordination, etc.).
- Assume responsibility for compliance of crafts and subcontractors with contract documents, efficient use of materials & equipment, and timely performance of the project schedule.
- Provide technical assistance, i.e., interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc., as required.
- Assist project management in developing, project schedule, site logistics plan and implementing project procedures, working documents, standards, etc.
- Support Site Specific Safety Plan.
- Coordinate with on-site Owner employees.
- Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
REQUIREMENTS:- 20 years of supervisory field experience with large heavy civil infrastructure construction projects valued at 200 million plus.
- Minimum of 10 years construction superintendent and/or craft supervision experience in new building and/or structure construction including, piles, concrete and structural steel.
- Knowledge, skills and experience with U.S. construction methods, techniques, and standards.
- Highschool diploma or GED preferred but not required
- Experience with City, State, Federal Government Clients preferred
- Knowledge of contract management and familiarity with local trade/unions/craft
- MS Word/Excel, Procure, Bluebeam, HCSS Heavy bid
- OSHA certification, First Aid Certs
- Excellent written and verbal skills
