ABOUT THE ROLEThe Superintendent is responsible for day-to-day oversight of line crew operations, ensures that the quality of work and materials is upheld, and that the budget is followed as planned.
Essential Functions- QA/QC Management
- Equipment review and scheduling
- Develop and implement project procedures
- Responsible for overall efficient use of materials and equipment
- Responsible for the training and development of field crews, foremen, and general foremen
- Ensure that on-site personnel comply with project procedures as well as safety program requirements and construction practices
- Document procedural violations, provide appropriate notification, and recommend/implement corrective actions as required
- New hire orientation and training for field personnel
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Essential functions of this position are to be performed in a Company-designated office or field location
- Understand and comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other industry-specific professional and ethical conduct standards, if applicable.
- Other duties as assigned
ABOUT YOUQualifications- Minimum 10 years of experience working in the construction of transmission and distribution lines field
- Experience with managing field crews of 25+
- Experience with OSHA 20 CFR transmission and distribution compliance
- Journeyman certification or equivalent
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field; combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of degree
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- A good work ethic with strong integrity and values
- Working knowledge of Microsoft applications and JD Edwards
- CPR, First Aid, OSHA 10 & 20 Hour certified
