Full Job Description
is looking for an experienced and motivated Superintendent, Maintenance Asphalt & Crushing who can oversee the daily operations and maintenance of the facility and equipment.

In this role you will be a valued member of , working in a permanent, full-time position of Superintendent, Maintenance Asphalt & Crushing reporting to the Manager, Equipment & Assets. The Superintendent will be responsible for all maintenance on the crushing and screening plants and onsite facets of asphalt production including; safety, maintenance, quality, cleanup, and relocating plants. Your base location will be the Knutsford B.C., and will require some travel throughout our great province.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
  • Prioritize safety of self and others in every aspect of the job
  • Provide management and direction to asphalt plant foremen and maintenance team
  • A strong knowledge of the Mines Act, Health, Safety & Reclamation Code of B.C.
  • Work closely with the Manager, Equipment & Assets to ensure equipment maintenance standards, schedules, and budgets are being met
  • Knowledge of all types of asphalt plant and crushing equipment
  • Attend and participate in all safety meetings and ensure team abides by safety policies on the work site
  • Drive a culture of safety and continuous improvement; ensuring equipment is safe and in good working order
  • Assist in coordinating and conducting training sessions
  • Review and adhere to project schedules, ensuring milestones and completion dates are met
  • Work with and oversee the performance of all sub-contractors, ensuring that work is completed accurately
  • Read and interpret project plans and specifications, and ensure all employees have the information required
  • Recommend ways to improve equipment reliability, production, quality, and crew performance
  • Ensure construction meets approved specifications

WHAT YOU BRING
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in a supervisory or leadership role in the Asphalt, Crushing, Paving, or related discipline
  • A strong background in equipment maintenance and a knowledge of reliability centered maintenance practices
  • Clean Drivers Abstract is required
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work both as part of a team and independently
  • Experience with Heavy Job/E360
  • Experience with Netsuite is an asset
