is looking for an experienced and motivated
Superintendent, Maintenance Asphalt & Crushing who can oversee the daily operations and maintenance of the facility and equipment.
In this role you will be a valued member of , working in a permanent, full-time position of
Superintendent, Maintenance Asphalt & Crushing reporting to the
Manager, Equipment & Assets. The Superintendent will be responsible for all maintenance on the crushing and screening plants and onsite facets of asphalt production including; safety, maintenance, quality, cleanup, and relocating plants.
Your base location will be the Knutsford B.C., and will require some travel throughout our great province.WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE- Prioritize safety of self and others in every aspect of the job
- Provide management and direction to asphalt plant foremen and maintenance team
- A strong knowledge of the Mines Act, Health, Safety & Reclamation Code of B.C.
- Work closely with the Manager, Equipment & Assets to ensure equipment maintenance standards, schedules, and budgets are being met
- Knowledge of all types of asphalt plant and crushing equipment
- Attend and participate in all safety meetings and ensure team abides by safety policies on the work site
- Drive a culture of safety and continuous improvement; ensuring equipment is safe and in good working order
- Assist in coordinating and conducting training sessions
- Review and adhere to project schedules, ensuring milestones and completion dates are met
- Work with and oversee the performance of all sub-contractors, ensuring that work is completed accurately
- Read and interpret project plans and specifications, and ensure all employees have the information required
- Recommend ways to improve equipment reliability, production, quality, and crew performance
- Ensure construction meets approved specifications
WHAT YOU BRING- Minimum of five (5) years experience in a supervisory or leadership role in the Asphalt, Crushing, Paving, or related discipline
- A strong background in equipment maintenance and a knowledge of reliability centered maintenance practices
- Clean Drivers Abstract is required
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work both as part of a team and independently
- Experience with Heavy Job/E360
- Experience with Netsuite is an asset
