Your Impact

As a Superintendent, Execution, you will provide leadership for the safe and effective delivery of Brucejack's sustaining capital construction projects, ensuring all work is executed in alignment with Newmont's Always Safe values and operational objectives. Leading multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and stakeholders across multiple project work fronts, you will foster a culture of safety, accountability, and collaboration while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Through strong field leadership, planning, and execution, you will support operational reliability and contribute to the long-term success of the Brucejack operation

As Part of Our Team, You Will

  • Lead a multidisciplinary team to safely deliver sustaining capital projects in alignment with operational and business priorities.
  • Champion Newmont's Always Safe culture by providing visible field leadership and ensuring critical risks are effectively managed across all construction activities.
  • Direct the planning, coordination, and execution of construction activities across multiple project work fronts, ensuring safe, efficient, and predictable project delivery.
  • Build strong partnerships with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Technical Services, Supply Chain, and Business Partner teams to execute construction projects in accordance with operational requirements and business objectives.
  • Drive end to end contractor management, ensuring quality work and compliance with Newmont standards, project requirements, and regulatory obligations.
  • Ensure construction activities are executed in accordance with approved scope, schedule, budget, quality, and productivity targets.
  • Monitor project risks, opportunities, and performance indicators, implementing corrective actions to maintain delivery commitments.
  • Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performing culture through coaching, mentoring, and development of employees and supervisors.
  • Drive continuous improvement in construction execution, safety performance, quality, and operational readiness.
  • Ensure successful commissioning, turnover, and integration of completed assets into operations.


Prerequisites for Your Success in This Role

  • 10+ years leadership experience, delivering construction projects in mining, heavy industrial, or infrastructure environments, with a proven track record of achieving safe, reliable, and predictable outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and frontline leaders while fostering a strong culture of safety, accountability, and performance.
  • Strong decision-making capability, with the ability to effectively manage risk, competing priorities, and stakeholder expectations in remote or challenging environments.
  • Expertise in construction project management, contract management, risk management, scheduling, estimating, quality control, and safety standards.
  • Proficient in construction management software (Procore), SAP, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Degree, diploma, or trade qualification in Construction, Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


Your Work Environment

This is a site-based role working in a dynamic and fast-paced construction environment. You will spend the majority of your time on-site, coordinating activities across multiple work fronts and engaging directly with contractors, engineers, and project managers. The role requires a hands-on leadership style, adaptability to shifting priorities, and a proactive approach to safety and problem-solving.

  • Remote, camp-based setting at Brucejack Mine
  • 13 days on / 13 days off rotation (with travel days)
  • Rotating day/night shifts, including weekends
  • Underground mining environment requiring full PPE
  • Drug & alcohol-free workplace (pre-employment testing required)

  • Competitive base salary PLUS a 25% short-term incentive bonus plan and 15% long-term incentive.

The expected base salary range for this role is $148,900 - $198,500 / year + incentives and benefits. This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.
