Overview

Job Title: Superintendent 

Division: Construction, Concrete Paving 

Supervisor: General Superintendent

Job Summary: Under the direction of the general superintendent, the project superintendent is primarily responsible to keep projects running smoothly, on time, and within budget and act as a liaison between the organization, the general sub contractors, the crews, and the community.

Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Visualize, define, plan, communicate, and implement the company vision and core values. 

  • Supervise the entire scope of work on construction projects including the management of foremen and crews, subcontractors, and materials delivery. 

  • Assist with public relations within the community. 

  • Review, understand, and adhere to all union contracts. 

  • Maintain insurable driving record. 

  • Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental requirements.

Education and/or Experience: 

  • Bachelor of Science degree in construction management or four years experience as a superintendent managing large horizontal construction projects. 

  • Experience managing construction field operations.
