Join us as an SUD Outpatient Clinician and play a vital role in supporting individuals experiencing substance use and mental health disorders on their path to recovery, stability, and independence. In this role, you will provide psychoeducation, facilitate recovery-oriented groups, conduct ongoing risk and recovery assessments, and help clients develop healthy coping strategies, life skills, and sustainable recovery plans. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams, medical providers, housing and community partners, and other service agencies to coordinate integrated, client-centered care. Additional responsibilities include crisis response, participation in an on-call rotation as needed, and maintaining timely, accurate clinical documentation to ensure continuity of care and compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

Pay rates offered are determined based on a standardized scale that considers relevant experience and education.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
  • Master's Degree in a behavioral health field

License/Certificate:
  • Active state licensure or ability to obtain within five years of employment
  • A valid driver's license is required for this position. In addition, the incumbent must be able to clear the JAMHI auto insurance screening through the independent insurance carrier.
  • CPR/AED Certification. JAMHI will provide this training for this certification upon 30 days of hire if not already obtained.

NHSC Loan Repayment Eligible
LCSW, LMFT, and LPC candidates may be eligible for the NHSC Loan Repayment Program, offering up to $50,000 in qualifying student loan repayment for a two-year service commitment. Awards are made by HRSA, and clinicians apply directly. Our organization is an NHSC-approved site and provides required employment verification.

All JAMHI positions require the ability to pass a criminal background check in accordance with the current state regulation requirements and a valid Alaska driver's license and be able to clear the JAMHI auto insurance screening through the independent insurance carrier if driving.
