The General Foreman Lineman is responsible for supervising and directing a crew of linemen engaged in above-grade electrical work for high-voltage substation EPC projects. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and high-quality installation, maintenance, and repair of overhead transmission and distribution systems associated with substation construction. The Lead Foreman Lineman will plan daily work activities, allocate manpower and equipment, and provide technical guidance to ensure compliance with project s pecifications, safety standards, and union labor agreements. Acting as the on-site leader, this position coordinates closely with project managers, engineers, and other trades to maintain schedule integrity and resolve field challenges promptly. The Lead Foreman Lineman is accountable for enforcing strict adherence to OSHA and Siemens Energy safety protocols, conducting job hazard analyses, and fostering a culture of safety and productivity within the crew. Success in this role requires strong leadership, advanced technical knowledge of high-voltage systems, and the ability to manage resources effectively in dynamic field conditions.

How to make an Impact
• Lead and oversee lineman crews performing overhead line work for substation construction and maintenance.
• Assign daily tasks, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
• Implement Siemens Energy's Zero Harm safety program, conduct safety training, and ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
• Ensure crews have proper tools, equipment, and materials for efficient operations and conduct daily tailboard/tool box safety meetings and hazard assessments.
• Supervise installation, maintenance, and repair of overhead conductors, poles, insulators, switches, and related high-voltage equipment and ensure proper clearances and grounding procedures when working on energized or de-energized systems.
• Maintain accurate records of crew hours, materials used, and work performed as well as provide progress updates and incident reports to project management.

What You Bring
• High school diploma or GED; completion of a recognized lineman apprenticeship program. (or equivalent work experience). C ertifications: Osha 10 & 30, NFPA70E, Journeyman License, Master Electrician.
• Experience: At least 10 to 15 years of experience as a journeyman lineman, with a must-have background in high voltage overhead work and high voltage substations. Prior supervisory or foreman experience leading lineman crews.
• Proven experience with union labor management and nationwide manpower scheduling.
• Strong understanding of OSHA regulations, environmental compliance, and safety management on high voltage sites.
• Strong communication skills, Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure while managing simultaneous critical infrastructure construction operations.
• Proficiency in overhead transmission and distribution systems and the ability to read and interpret staking sheets, electrical diagrams, and construction plans.
