NSB Omega is searching for a Subsea Equipment Engineer - Controls for our MAJOR Oil & Gas Client in St. John's, NL. Assignment Description The Subsea Equipment Engineer will be responsible for overseeing activities at our subsea facility, ensuring smooth operations and managing the interfaces with service providers. Your role will encompass specifying requirements, overseeing procurement, engineering, and testing of subsea equipment and software across various scopes. This includes providing engineering support through document and design reviews. You will be tasked with managing equipment needs, ranging from infrastructure replacements, upgrades, and repairs and handling spares and obsolescence. Additionally, you will review component quality records to ensure component integrity. A crucial part of your role will be coordinating equipment preparation and testing to ensure readiness for offshore execution. Responsibilities: • Specify requirements and managing procurement, engineering and testing for Subsea equipment and software for primarily subsea controls systems including topsides equipment. Includes engineering support such as document and design reviews. Equipment includes existing infrastructure replacement, upgrades and repairs, spares and obsolescence. Review of component quality records to verify component integrity. • Coordination of Equipment preparation and testing for Offshore execution • Coordination of Storage, Preservation and Maintenance of Subsea Inventory • Engineering support for subsea operational issues including studies and coordinating procurement and testing. • Monitor activities at the Cenovus Subsea facility and manage interface with service provider. • Site Client Representative responsible for overseeing contractor work scopes and verification of component factory acceptance testing (FAT)/extended factory acceptance testing (EFAT). • Managing and facilitating component site acceptance testing (SAT)/site integration testing (SIT). • Participating on special projects and the Subsea Well Delivery process as required Qualifications: • Bachelor of Engineering, P.Eng • Member in good standing or eligible for Professional Engineer status with Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Newfoundland and Labrador (PEGNL). • 10+ years of offshore oil and gas experience in Subsea Controls equipment and systems • Experience in Engineering design, fabrication and testing for oil and gas equipment • Knowledge of industry standards for offshore oil and gas equipment. • Experience with offshore Subsea installation scopes • Contract and facilities management experience 40 hours/week, 8:00-5:00 Duration 1 Year(With Possibility of Extension) Location St. John's, NL Apply here
