Job DescriptionAs a
Subcontracts Specialist, you will be responsible for managing FLINT's subcontracting lifecycle from sourcing through post-award execution. This role supports bidding activities, conducts commercial and scope reviews, drafts subcontract agreements, leads subcontract negotiations, and ensures alignment with operational requirements, client obligations, risk management standards, and internal governance. Reporting to the
Subcontractor Engagement Manager, you will play a key role in delivering successful projects through effective subcontractor management.
What would you be doing?- Coordinate sourcing and bidding activities, including subcontractor communications and commercial evaluations.
- Draft, review, and negotiate subcontracts and service agreements to align with FLINT policies and business objectives.
- Collaborate with Operations, Legal, HSE, and Finance teams to ensure appropriate scope definition, risk allocation, and contractual obligations.
- Implement prime contract flowdowns, ensuring commercial, legal, and HSE requirements are accurately incorporated into subcontract documents.
- Maintain structured communication with subcontractors throughout bidding, negotiation, award, and mobilization phases.
- Support post-award activities, including commercial handover, change management coordination, claims support, and subcontractor performance tracking.
- Monitor subcontractor compliance with contractual, legal, HSE, and corporate requirements throughout their engagement lifecycle.
- Maintain audit-ready contract records, logs, and documentation.
- Contribute to process improvements, subcontracting templates, onboarding workflows, and commercial practices.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and alignment throughout project execution.

Qualifications- Minimum 7 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, subcontract management, or a related discipline. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to drive favorable commercial outcomes.
- General knowledge of business law and contract-related legal principles.
- University degree in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience with contracts administration, management, and close-out processes; construction industry experience is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with construction industry practices and defined scopes of work is an asset.
