Project Overview:

We are building high performing teams to deliver complex EPC heavy civil project and looking for motivated, hands-on, collaborative innovators, doers, and problem solvers. The projects are hydro power generation with scopes including roadway development, significant structures including dams, spillways, tunnel waterways, inlet/outlet structures, hydromechanical equipment, mechanical and electrical systems, and site facilities and buildings. Job Summary:

In this role, you will participate in subcontract formation and/or administration. Subcontract formation includes leading preparation and review of bid request packages and developing project contracts operating procedures. Subcontract administration includes continual progress review, forecasting, and communication of difficulties. Your work will ensure subcontract compliance with project requirements.#LI-VB1

Major Responsibilities:

  • Develops and issues subcontracts as assigned
  • Prepares bidders' lists and pre-qualifies bidders
  • Forms bid request packages and issues bid request packages to approved bidders
  • Coordinates bidders' questions and answers to those questions
  • Receives bids and evaluates bids commercially
  • Manages technical evaluations and ensures quality is adequate and meets company and project requirements
  • Recommends and secures approvals in accordance with established procedures
  • Prepares subcontract documents for execution
  • Prepares and organizes assigned meetings, such as pre-bid, bid clarification and pre-award meetings, for the purpose of ensuring complete understanding and agreement with required stakeholders on all contractual matters
  • Administers assigned subcontracts maintaining a continual review of progress and providing management with information regarding projected financial or technical difficulties.
  • Coordinates with designated staff on operational activities affecting contractual rights and obligations, contract performance, subcontract administration and other major matters.
  • Administers moderately complex contract changes to resolution
  • Ensures understanding of contract terms and conditions between all stakeholders
  • Supports preparation of periodic status reports for management.


Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience


Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficiency in all phases of the contract lifecycle of moderately complex construction contracts, framework agreements, and services contracts.
  • Developing various contract types and associated pricing arrangements.
  • Experience in negotiating legal terms and conditions.
  • Working knowledge of change management procedures pertaining to Requests for Information (RFIs), change notices, change orders, amendments, and claims and dispute resolution.
  • Skilled in communicating effectively with all levels of project functional groups.
  • Proficiency in MS Office software suite of programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
