Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Subcontracts Administrator, Lead Associate to join our organization. 

 

Put your years of experience and enjoyment of the work you specialize in, into a future of excellence!  We seek a mid-level SCA to join the professionals supporting Peraton many programs vital to   national security.   The qualified applicant will negotiate and award subcontracts and manage the relationships with suppliers for the high-profile, highly-successful programs

 

The successful candidate will oversee subcontractor performance, provide responsible advice on a range of business topics, and possess experience with and understanding of FAR, government contracting methods, and best practices.  Duties may include the negotiation of Non-disclosure Agreements and Teaming Agreements, RFP and SOW development, proposal review, price analysis, selection of appropriate contract type and related clauses, and administering your subcontractors’ funding.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain strong supplier relations and ensure compliance to company policies and procedures with minimum supervision
  • Develop subcontracts, non-disclosure agreements, and teaming agreements, ensuring flow-downs are captured and negotiating labor rates, T's & C's and special provisions
  • Team with finance to facilitate invoicing and payment
  • Work closely with Program Management, understanding that your work directly influences the achievement of goals and objectives
  • Identify, mitigate, and resolve contract-related risks and issues
  • Offer guidance to and work cooperatively with team members from the technical, program, finance, and contracts disciplines
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related experience or a Master’s degree and 3+ years of related experience.
  • 9+ of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree. 
  • US citizenship required.
  • 3 years demonstrated strength managing teammates on a large, fast-paced program.

  • Must be able to obtain a TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance.

  • Can be remote but must be willing to travel to Reston, Virginia when needed.
  • Experience with the following subcontract types: FFP, T&M, Labor Hour, Cost Reimbursement (w/fixed-fee).
  • Familiar with Fair and Reasonable determinations as well as Subcontractor price analysis.
  • High-level of accountability and responsibility with in-depth knowledge and a strong understanding of:
    • Federal Acquisition Regulations, Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplements, as well as other Agency Supplements;
    • Is well versed in being able to read, understand, and decipher required flow-down terms from the Prime Contract;
    • Negotiating Subcontract with other Government Contractors.
    • Great business sense with a laser focus on growing business through relationships.
    • Understanding of financial systems and purchase requisition process.
    • Firm understanding of managing subcontracts with multiple contract types.
Target Salary Range$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
