Position Description:

The Subcontracting Operations Director is responsible for leading PARIC's subcontracting and procurement operations, ensuring alignment with company standards, project goals, and long-term strategic initiatives. This role provides leadership in subcontractor prequalification, contract review, buyout strategy, trade partner relationships, and procurement process improvement across the organization.

Responsibilities
• Participate in the subcontractor prequalification process, providing strategic input on vendor and trade partner approvals.
• Review subcontract agreements and purchase orders to ensure scopes of work align with company standards, project requirements, and contractual obligations.
• Identify and resolve open subcontract terms and conditions to mitigate risk and support project execution.
• Research, identify, and qualify subcontractors and vendors in new geographic markets.
• Provide strategic input on bidder selection and subcontractor/vendor shortlists for upcoming projects.
• Drive buyout strategy and procurement efficiencies across multiple projects to maximize financial performance and operational execution.
• Ensure project teams provide timely communication to non-selected subcontractors and vendors at the conclusion of buyout activities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships within the subcontractor and vendor community to strengthen trade partner partnerships.
• Ensure subcontractor scopes of work align with PARIC standards and project contract requirements.
• Hold buyout teams accountable for the quality, consistency, and timeliness of procurement activities.
• Communicate buyout status and procurement updates to project teams and company leadership.
• Partner with Legal, Risk Management, and Accounting to ensure subcontract procurement complies with company standards.
• Develop and manage project buyout schedules, assign responsibilities, and track procurement progress through the full buyout phase.
• Ensure Trade Partner Code of Conduct standards are consistently upheld across all projects.
• Lead implementation of technology solutions that support centralized procurement initiatives.
• Lead negotiations of Master Subcontract Agreements and standard subcontract riders.
• Develop and implement alternative contract formats including short-form subcontracts, field-level change orders, and service agreements.
• Ensure centralized procurement strategies align with the long-term goals of PARIC.

Skills and Experience
• 12+ years of construction industry experience required.
