WHAT WE'RE DOING
In this role, you'll collaborate with a team of seasoned procurement professionals while being fully integrated into the broader program team. You'll gain firsthand experience managing subcontracts throughout their entire life cycle-starting from proposal phases, through execution, and into closeout. This is a unique opportunity to deepen your procurement expertise and take on key responsibilities in managing subcontracts.
THE WORK
The subcontract program manager will
• Be responsible for cost, schedule and technical performance for the LRDR and HDR-G programs
• Work with stakeholders from across business areas to support expedited procurement activities
• Lead cross-functional subcontract management teams that are spread across the country from various organizations (Supply chain, Quality, Engineering, Planning, Finance)
• Makes informed decisions affecting the performance of the subcontractor.
• Oversee milestone objectives to manage performance to committed schedules and contractual specifications.
• Present supplier performance to internal program and LOB executives and external DoD customers
• May execute Supply Chain Cost Account Manager (CAM) responsibilities
• Manage impacts to subcontractor cost and program schedule
• Manage competing demands between aggressive program schedule milestones and functional compliance responsibilities
• This role oversees the negotiation and coordination of additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontracts.
• Develop effective relationships with supplier leadership.
• Some (up to 25%) travel to the subcontractor locations is required.

Basic Qualifications
• Extensive (5+ years) experience in Subcontract Management and/or Material Procurement Management and a bachelors degree in a related field (supply chain, Engineering)
• Strong teamwork, leadership, and problem solving skill sets
• Ability to travel up to 25%
• Ability to obtain a security clearance
Desired skills
• Ability to work onsite at LM SEMS site (Syracuse, Moorestown, Owego, Orlando, Clearwater) 50% of the time
• Experience in material procurement intensive programs
• Excellent understanding of Government and commercial procurement/subcontracting practices
• Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) and Department of Defense Contracts (DoD)
• Experience with the Truth in Negotiation Act (TINA)
• Experience in developing and executing Business/Subcontract Management strategies
• Well versed in Risk and Opportunity management
• Demonstrated ability to proactively team with all levels of the organization/program
• Possess excellent communication skills, both written, verbal, and presentation, to effectively communicate business cases to all levels of peers, suppliers, as well as program and executive management
• Have personally generated and presented Sourcing related status to executive management
• Proven skills in building relationships with programs, subcontractor and functional stakeholders. Have shown ability to be effective at maintaining these relationships with key stakeholders through challenging issues and/or complex problems.
• Demonstrated sense of urgency
• Demonstrable experience managing programs and/or subcontractor performance from red to green status
Ability to work remotely
Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $120,100 - $208,150. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
