Full Job Description
Position Summary

The StudentLink Center Trainer works closely with StudentLink Management to develop and refine the department's training program's overall strategic approach ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Develop, update, and maintain comprehensive training materials for the StudentLink staff and stakeholders. Liaise with stakeholder offices to stay informed about new and changing policies and procedures relevant to the StudentLink Center operations. Partner with StudentLink managers to review stakeholder feedback on the service delivered. Perform scheduled reviews of tickets and cases to gain insights that inform training needs. Identify key themes and trends in monthly data reports and recommend training or refresher course needs to management. Provide constructive feedback to staff members. Stay informed of industry best practices and represent the StudentLink department at various forums.

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

Required Experience:
3+ years related experience, including in-depth knowledge/application of student services areas such as financial aid, bursar, registration, or financial education principles and practices. Related experience as a trainer or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated experience applying adult learning principles to effectively deliver training, assess comprehension, and adapt instructional methods and materials to support different learning needs. Knowledge and experience in developing fair, valid, and objective assessments that accurately and holistically evaluate a trainee's knowledge, skills, and readiness to perform the job.

Preferred Experience:
1+ years experience in Bursar, Financial Aid, Registrar and/or Financial Education, Global Services departments, Higher Education and/or a Shared Services environment. Experience with PeopleSoft student module and/or case management systems such as ServiceNow.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to influence and advocate. Excellent interpersonal, presentation, analytical, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills. Demonstrated ability to provide high-quality customer service. Ability to interpret policies and procedures, to interact effectively with a diverse population at all levels, and to facilitate decision-making. Ability to handle multiple tasks in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment. Data analytic skills to identify trends.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
In addition to English, fluency in at least one of the following languages: Mandarin, Korean, Hindi, Bengali, or Punjabi.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $80,100.00 to USD $97,900.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
