Full Job Description
The Opportunity with McKinstry

McKinstry is looking to add a Structured Finance Partner to our growing Energy Asset Development division in Seattle, WA. The Structured Finance Director will lead the development of energy asset development solutions into financeable project scopes. This will include utilizing and creating appropriate financial models and coordinating with the technical and sales teams for the required inputs. Additional responsibleness may include:
  • Financial modeling of projects - leverage financial solutions team to support the creation and building of financial models.
  • Presenting. Educating and negotiating with clients, helping drive deal strategy and story telling.
  • Coach, mentor, educate clients on capital stack solutions, inclusive of EaaS financing structures.
  • Interfacing with 3rd party capital partners on structure and return requirements, developing and presenting investment memos for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement new tools to improve quality and shorten project development time.

What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry:
  • B.S or B.A with major(s) in business, accounting, economics, finance, or engineering or equivalent knowledge and experience required.
  • Four (4) to Six (6) years of experience in banking, finance, consulting, or financial analysis preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and financial modeling concepts.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, PowerPoint, Outlook required; working knowledge of SharePoint preferred.
  • Transactional experience in 3rd party funded deals (P3, EaaS, ESPC).
  • Strong knowledge public and private finance structures and mechanisms.
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities required.
  • Accounting and balance sheet knowledge.
  • Able to work well with all levels of internal stakeholders, as well as external customers.
  • Experience in performance contracting preferred.

The pay range for this position is $114,210 - $192,900 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location.
