Role Description & Responsibilities

Dassault Systemes is seeking a Structural Mechanics Consultant We are seeking a highly motivated, qualified person to serve as a technical bridge between our advanced simulation solutions and customers worldwide. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor, mentor, and technical leader. You will leverage your deep expertise in computational structural mechanics to deliver high-impact consulting services, develop new simulation methodologies, and help our customers achieve their engineering goals.

What You Will Do

Your specific duties and responsibilities will be commensurate with education, training, and experience and may include:
Deliver Expert Consulting: Execute advanced simulations, implement custom product extensions, and develop methodologies tailored to complex customer needs.
Educate & Mentor: Conduct high-level training and mentoring sessions for customers with varying levels of technical expertise.
Drive Product Excellence: Assess product performance, validate customer enhancement requests, and troubleshoot complex simulation errors.
Support Business Growth: Identify technical opportunities to expand our business footprint during customer interactions.
Continuous Learning: Continuously master and apply new product features, multi-physics technologies, and industry workflows.
Enhanced Productivity: Leverage AI to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications

Education & Experience: A minimum of a Master's degree in an engineering discipline related to structural mechanics with 4-8 years of industry experience (or a PhD with 4 years of experience).
Technical Depth: Advanced knowledge of FEM and FEA techniques, nonlinear structural and solid mechanics under static and dynamic loads (mechanical, thermal, and fluid interactions).
Software Mastery: Proven experience with FEA simulation software (e.g., Abaqus, Ansys, Nastran, Dyna) and CAD tools (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks).
Automation Skills: Practical coding skills in Python or C++ for simulation automation.
Communication: Exceptional presentation skills; comfortable explaining technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Languages: Written and oral fluency in English.
Mobility: Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites as required.
Additional consideration will be given to candidates with experience in:
• Multi-physics simulations (Batteries, Fuel Cells, Drug Transport, Additive Manufacturing, or FSI).
• Specialized analysis (Optimization, Fracture, Fatigue, or Acoustics).
• Working knowledge of Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE Platform, Isight, Tosca, fe-safe, or Wave6.

Compensation & Benefits

Dassault Systèmes offers an excellent salary with potential for bonus, commensurate with experience. Benefits include a choice of plans providing comprehensive coverage for medical, dental, vision care for employee & dependents as well as employee life, short & long term disability, tuition reimbursement, immediate 401K enrollment, 401K match (50 cents on the dollar, up to the first 8% of your eligible compensation that you contribute based on match eligibility criteria), flexible time off policy, and 10 paid holidays.

Salary Pay Transparency

Compensation for the role will be commensurate with experience. The total expected compensation range will be between $133000 and $160000, representing the base salary (or annualized salary based on estimated hourly compensation) and target bonus.
