Job Description
Client is seeking a highly motivated and adaptable
Structural & Mechanical Testing Engineer to join the Test & Evaluation team. This engineer will play a vital role in developing test plans and procedures, designing test hardware, and conducting structural tests to ensure that products and services comply with customer, regulatory, and company requirements.
In this position, you will design, develop, and integrate test systems, as well as design test hardware, software, and systems to achieve comprehensive test requirements that encompass the full spectrum of testing. You will review and validate test data, preparing and publishing detailed test reports. Additionally, you will conduct research in test technologies to improve efficiency and capability, while interfacing with other members of project or program teams, management, and technical staff to define and implement effective test engineering solutions.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in structural and mechanical engineering, excellent analytical skills, prior testing experience, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. A self-motivated individual with a sense of urgency and a commitment to taking ownership of projects will thrive in this role.
Position Responsibilities:
- Develop test plans, procedures, and test equipment/software to ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and company requirements.
- Design, develop, and integrate test systems to support testing activities.
- Create test hardware to meet comprehensive test requirements across various testing scenarios.
- Review and validate test data, ensuring accuracy and quality prior to delivery to customers.
- Prepare and publish detailed test reports that summarize findings.
- Research test technologies that enhance testing efficiency and capability.
- Manage multiple projects while interfacing with project or program teams, management, and technical staff to define and implement effective test engineering solutions.
- Exhibit self-motivation and a sense of urgency, taking ownership of projects to drive successful outcomes.
Education / Experience:
- Bachelor's degree and typically 2 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with experience in an engineering classification.
- Required: Bachelor or Master degree from an accredited course of study in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry.
