Full Job Description
Structural Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers while driving the delivery of complex building projects. This role combines technical leadership, team development, and production oversight to ensure projects meet the highest standards for quality, performance, and constructability.

Team Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee a team of structural engineers and technicians across multiple projects, ensuring work is well planned, coordinated, and aligned with project goals and deadlines
  • Plan, assign, and manage team workload and production efforts, translating project requirements into clear work plans aligned with scope, schedule, and staffing capacity
  • Provide technical leadership in the design and analysis of structural systems, guiding decision-making and resolving complex engineering challenges
  • Oversee the development and coordination of structural deliverables, including drawings, specifications, and calculations, ensuring accuracy, constructability, and completeness
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in structural systems, codes, and materials, supporting multidisciplinary coordination and informed project decisions
  • Drive the implementation and continuous improvement of structural standards, tools, and processes to enhance quality, efficiency, and consistency

Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop team members through mentorship, feedback, and formal performance evaluations, supporting both technical growth and career development
  • Monitor team performance, workload, andutilization, proactivelyidentifyingrisks, gaps, or inefficiencies and communicating with leadership
  • Support staffing and workforce planning, including recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding to build and sustaina strong team
  • Ensure accountability across the team by setting clear expectations, tracking progress, and addressing performance or delivery challenges
  • Align team effort with project scope, schedule, and budget, contributing to planning, forecasting, and overall project success
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, communication, and continuous improvement while reinforcing QA/QC standards and the professional standard of care

Required Skills
  • Ability to lead technical discussions and present structural design solutions to clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities
  • Strong collaboration with Project Managers and multi-disciplinary teams to align design, scope, schedule, and budget expectations
  • Demonstrated ability to lead structural design efforts across all phases, including analysis, documentation, and construction administration
  • Advanced expertise in structural systems design, codes, and materials, with the ability to resolve complex technical and constructability challenges
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines
  • Proficiency in structural analysis and modeling tools such as RISA-3D, RISA Floor, or ADAPT, along with Revit and Microsoft Office Suite

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or Architectural Engineering with Structural focus) from an ABET-accredited program; Master's degree preferred
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required; Structural Engineer (SE) preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive structural engineering experience, including leadership and project delivery responsibilities
