We are seeking a
Structural Engineer who is passionate about innovative engineering, regulatory compliance, and delivering high-quality technical solutions that support safe and efficient aircraft operations.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:As a Structural Engineer at L2 Aviation, you'll be a key contributor in developing innovative structural solutions for commercial and specialized aircraft programs. You will:
- Analyze, design, and validate aircraft structures and modifications.
- Create engineering drawings, substantiation reports, repairs, and certification documents used in FAA/EASA approvals.
- Support avionics integrations, structural reinforcements, equipment mounts, and other complex modifications.
- Collaborate with world-class engineers, DERs, certification experts, and manufacturing teams.
- Participate in design reviews, conformity inspections, and customer engagements that shape real-world aircraft outcomes.
- Provide engineering support during installation and prototype development.
- Drive continuous improvement in analysis methods, design tools, and engineering processes.
WHAT YOU BRING:We're looking for engineers who combine strong analytical ability with curiosity, teamwork, and a passion for aviation.
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering and are excited to apply your technical foundation to real-world aircraft challenges.
- Bring 3-5 years of hands-on structural engineering experience in the aerospace industry and are ready to take on more complex, high-impact projects.
- Have experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and tools such as NASTRAN, ANSYS, or SolidWorks Simulation-skills you'll use daily to influence aircraft design and certification.
- Understand the FAA/EASA certification landscape, including FAR Part 25 structural requirements, and are eager to deepen your regulatory knowledge.
- Possess strong engineering judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to think critically in high-stakes environments.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and customers, turning technical data into actionable solutions.
- Thrive in fast-paced project cycles and enjoy delivering high-quality work on schedule.
- Must submit to and pass pre-employment drug testing and any applicable company/FAA Drug and Alcohol Abuse Program that may be required.
- Must be able to pass required background checks, including a 10-year TSA check if airport access or badging is required.
- You'll stand out even more if you:
- Hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license or are actively working toward DER delegation-bringing added depth to our certification capabilities.
- Have experience supporting aircraft modification programs, STCs, or avionics integration projects, giving you a head start on the work you'll be doing here.
