Full Job Description
A Structural Engineer plays a pivotal role in the design of buildings and infrastructure responsible for analyzing, and ensuring the structural integrity and documenting the scope of work .They collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to create safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing structures.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed plans and specifications for structures, ensuring they meet project criteria and scope, safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform complex calculations, oversee drawing development and prepare specifications for assigned projects.
  • Ensure compliance with codes, standards and regulations.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are achieved
  • Conduct site inspections and assess existing structures for potential problems or necessary renovations.
  • Work closely with architects, civil engineers, and construction managers to integrate structural solutions into the overall project design.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation, review and approve submittals, and participate in owner and project meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor of science degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or Architectural Engineering. a master's degree is preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or ability to obtain.
  • Strong proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g. RAM, FEM, Enercalc, Revit, or similiar).
  • 5+ years of experience in structural engineering.
  • Experience with a variety of structural materials steel, concrete, masonry and precast concrete.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Travel Requirements:
  • Flexibility to travel on short notice for urgent business needs, to attend meetings, trainings, and events.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance during business trips.
  • Compliance with company travel policies and procedures.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time.
  • Ability to use a computer, phone, printer, scanner, and other office equipment.
  • Visual acuity for detailed work and computer use
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 25 pounds of files, documents, and materials.
