You'll work alongside experienced structural engineers on projects where practical, constructible, and cost-effective design solutions matter.
What You'll Do- Analyze and design building structures under the supervision of licensed structural engineers.
- Prepare engineering calculations and structural analysis.
- Develop structural models, plans, sections, and details using CAD and related software.
- Develop construction documents and review drawings and specifications for structural compliance.
- Coordinate with project managers and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Help resolve structural design and constructability issues.
- Participate in project meetings and support technical reports.
- Support quality control processes as you develop toward independent responsibility and licensure.
What You'll Need- Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Engineer In Training (EIT) certification.
- Experience with structural analysis and calculations.
- Experience with CAD for structural plans, sections, and details.
- Knowledge of building codes and standards, including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC, or the ability to learn them quickly.
- Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
- Proficiency with structural analysis software such as RISA-3D, ETABS, ADAPT Builder, RAM, or similar.
- Strong analytical and communication skills with attention to detail.
- Interest in innovative, constructible, and cost-effective structural design solutions.
