Job Description

The Partner of Strategy Management plays a critical role in enabling the successful creation of Envision Healthcare's organizational strategy. This role manages the strategic governance process-providing structure, visibility, and alignment for key initiatives. This individual serves as a connective force between the strategic planning process and executive leadership, helping ensure accountability, transparency, and alignment. This role will be partnered extensively with the finance team and coordinate the transition to the transformation office for implementation. The ideal candidate excels in stakeholder coordination, strategic communication, enterprise-level thinking, and a collaborative mindset to help translate strategic vision into actionable initiatives that improve operational performance and growth.

Paid Time Off: Envision Healthcare offers paid time off, 9 observed holidays and paid family leave. You accrue Paid Time Off (PTO) each pay period and depending on your position and can earn a minimum of 20 days and up to 25 days per calendar year.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates strategic initiative planning and governance, including frameworks, processes, and performance monitoring.
  • Anchors project and initiative owners to enterprise brand and strategy, ensuring alignment across departments and leadership priorities.
  • Owns and administer governance processes provide structure, transparency, and accountability for the submission of enterprise-level initiatives.
  • Coordinates cross-functional teams to drive visibility, collaboration, and continuity across strategic workstreams.
  • Coordinated centralized dashboards, KPIs, reports, and communication tools to track initiative progress, dependences, and success of strategic initiatives in partnership with the transformation office.
  • Supports the Senior Director, Strategy with strategic planning cycles, opportunity assessments, business case development, and executive reporting.
  • Synthesizes initiative updates and risks into actionable insights for executive leadership.
  • Prepare executive-level presentations, reports, and updates to communicate progress, risks, and opportunities
  • Continuously improves structure and tools to help leaders manage initiatives effectively while staying connected to the broader organizational vision.
  • Act as a thought partner to senior leaders, bringing forward insights and recommendations that drive growth, innovation, and operational excellence.
  • Facilitates coordination across cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless collaboration between initiative owners and leadership.
  • Supports development and refinement of governance frameworks, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and escalation protocols.
  • Prepares and administers materials for executive governance forums, including steering committees and leadership reviews.
  • Conducts research and synthesize data to provide actionable insights for strategic decisions and initiative prioritization.
  • Contributes to change management efforts that promote adoption and sustainability of enterprise transformation initiatives.
  • Identifies process improvement opportunities within governance and initiative execution workflows to enhance efficiency and impact
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Ability to influence without direct authority and work effectively with all levels of the organization.

Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Public Policy, or related field required. Master's degree preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in strategy, operations, healthcare consulting, or related roles required
  • Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; able to synthesize complex information and influence at all levels
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Word)
  • Experience with project portfolio tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Monday.com, Workfront, Asana)
  • Familiarity with dashboarding and analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, DOMO) is a plus
