Full Job Description
Who You Will Work With:

The Strategy, Lead will report to the Head, Strategy and develop and advance focused strategic analyses and recommendations that enhance the business and work closely with internal stakeholders on all fronts of the business with a clear emphasis on key strategic priorities for Interac. You will make recommendations as it relates to emerging trends, market and competitive dynamics, growth opportunities, and business performance (including measurement) in the development of the corporate strategy and management. You will use your drive and bias for results to handle complex and ambiguous topics to gain insight into the strategic issues that are at the forefront of the financial services industry.

What You Will Do:

Strategic Planning & Business Strategy
  • Develop strategic analyses, business cases, and execution options to inform long term business objectives.
  • Support strategic planning and board processes through analysis, modeling, and insight development.
  • Develop opportunity sizing, financial models, and operational scenarios for strategic initiatives.
  • Support leaders by translating strategic direction into clear insights and structured recommendations.


Strategic Foresight & Future-Focused Analysis
  • Contribute to strategic foresight by identifying, analyzing, and synthesizing emerging trends and ecosystem insights.
  • Develop foresight scenarios and connect foresight signals to strategy development and planning to ensure relevance.


Data Analysis & Operational Optimization
  • Analyze data to identify bottlenecks, track performance, and inform decisions for operational improvement.


Communication, Storytelling & Stakeholder Alignment
  • Distill complex ideas into clear, accessible messaging.
  • Develop collateral to socialize strategies and insights with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communications focus on socializing insights and recommendations, not setting strategic direction.


Mentor/Coach Junior Staff
  • Mentor/coach Analysts and/or Specialist on day-to-day work (processes, employee relations, legislation, business partnership, etc.).


What You Bring:

  • A Bachelor's degree and MBA (preferred, not required).
  • 7+ years of experience in consulting, strategy & operations, chief of staff roles, including strategy development, planning. Execution and analysis.
  • Ability to interpret data, identify issues, and implement solutions.
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau) and project management software.
  • Proven experience building and managing relationships with stakeholders and strategic partners.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills to articulate complex ideas and influence others.
  • High drive and ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environments, delivering multi-dimensional projects and influencing business outcomes.
  • The ability to distill complex ideas into simple, digestible insights, connect the dots, adapt, and help accelerate execution.
  • Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity.

The hiring range for this position is $125000 - $135000, and you will also be eligible for our short-term incentive plan. The exact amount will depend on factors such as skills, experience, and job-related knowledge, but Interac's commitment goes beyond compensation.
