About the Role and Why It's Special ✨

Our Growth & Strategy Lead role sits at the intersection of strategy, commercial growth, and execution. You'll work closely with our VP, Strategy & Development on strategic priorities - while also being close to the market: building relationships with district leaders, owning territory strategy, helping shape our GTM motion, and identifying opportunities for market expansion. It's a role for someone who genuinely enjoys zooming out to think strategically and zooming in to understand the customer, test ideas, and make things happen.

You'll have the opportunity to shape how we grow in the US while staying close to the schools, districts, and educators we serve - and see the impact of your work firsthand.

This is an opportunity to build something from the ground up: develop a network across the education ecosystem, shape our approach to the market, and eventually help build and lead the team as the region grows.
Key Responsibilities 🏁

1. Build Partnerships & Relationships
  • Develop meaningful relationships with district leaders, educators, and key stakeholders across Northern California.
  • Understand district priorities and challenges and identify opportunities for Innovamat to create value.
  • Represent Innovamat at conferences, events, and within the broader education ecosystem.

2. Grow the Northern California Market
  • Develop and execute a thoughtful approach to building Innovamat's presence across the region.
  • Identify priority districts and communities where we can have the greatest impact.
  • Lead partnerships from initial conversations through pilots, implementation, and long-term collaboration.

3. Support Strategy & Market Development
  • Work closely with the VP, Strategy & Development on strategic projects and market initiatives.
  • Bring insights from the market and our partners to help shape how Innovamat grows.
  • Identify opportunities to improve our approach, messaging, and go-to-market model.

4. Build for the Future
  • Help establish the foundations for Innovamat's growth in Northern California.
  • As the region develops, contribute to hiring, developing, and eventually leading a local team.
  • Help build the playbook for expanding our partnership model into new markets.
What We're Looking For πŸ”Ž

We care less about having the "perfect" background and more about how you think, build relationships, and take ownership.

Experience
  • Experience in a high-performing, fast-paced environment such as consulting, investment banking, tech, startups, education, or another entrepreneurial setting.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders, building partnerships, or developing new markets is a plus.
  • A track record of taking ownership and making things happen.

Skills
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Strategic and structured thinker who can also roll up their sleeves and execute.
  • Strong ability to navigate ambiguity and build from scratch.
  • Curious, thoughtful, and able to understand complex organizations and decision-making processes.

Mindsets You Embody
  • High ownership: You take responsibility and follow through.
  • Entrepreneurial: You've helped launch or scale something from 0β†’1 or enjoy building something where the path isn't always clear.
  • Relationship-driven: You genuinely enjoy getting to know people and building trust over time.
  • Curious: You want to deeply understand education, mathematics, and the communities we serve.
  • Collaborative: You build strong relationships internally and externally.
  • Mission-driven: You care about improving education and want your work to have a meaningful impact.

Location: Based in San Francisco and willing to travel ~50%.
What can you expect from us?
  • We aim high: We're working to improve mathematics education at scale, and we set ambitious goals to make it happen.
  • We are owners: You'll have real responsibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to see your work directly shape our growth.
  • We move fast: You'll work in a dynamic environment where things evolve quickly and there's always something new to build.
  • We are eager to learn: We value curiosity, feedback, and people who are constantly looking for ways to improve.
  • We are humble: We believe the best ideas can come from anywhere and that great work happens through collaboration.
  • We enjoy the ride: We're an international, mission-driven team that believes high performance and a strong sense of community can go hand in hand.
What We Offer You
  • OTE to $180K with uncapped earning potential.
  • 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • 5% 401(k) match to support your long-term financial wellbeing.
  • 22 days of PTO, 5 additional company-wide days off, wedding leave, and a strong parental leave program.
  • An annual learning stipend to support your personal and professional growth.
  • An exceptional, mission-driven international team, with regular meetups, team-building, and an annual company offsite.
  • The opportunity to work on a mission-driven product that directly impacts students and teachers every day.

If you're excited about building relationships, creating new opportunities and making an impact, we'd love to meet you!
