Full Job Description
About the Role

As our Strategy & Operations Lead, Provider Growth, you'll own one of Prosper's most critical scaling challenges: expanding our clinical capacity to meet growing demand for high-quality mental health care. As we continue to grow, traditional clinician recruiting approaches alone will not be enough - we'll need to rethink how we attract, convert, and maximize clinical talent.

You'll own the strategy and execution behind building a scalable provider growth engine. You'll combine workforce planning, analytics, experimentation, and operational problem-solving to identify the biggest constraints on clinical capacity and develop creative solutions to overcome them. This could include improving our clinician hiring funnel, unlocking new talent pools, increasing clinician hours, rethinking our clinical model, or building new systems and processes that allow us to scale.

This is a unique opportunity to solve a highly complex, business-critical problem at the intersection of healthcare operations, talent strategy, and growth. You'll work closely with Clinical Operations, Recruiting, Product, and leadership to build the operating model that enables Prosper to expand access to care while maintaining an exceptional clinician experience.

You'll thrive in this role if you're a strategic thinker who loves turning ambiguous problems into actionable plans. You are equally comfortable building a capacity model, analyzing funnel data, designing experiments, and rolling up your sleeves to execute. You don't accept constraints at face value - you challenge assumptions, find creative solutions, and take ownership of outcomes from start to finish.
You Will
  • Own the clinical capacity strategy. Build and maintain a comprehensive clinical capacity model that forecasts supply needs, identifies bottlenecks, and determines the highest-impact levers to achieve Prosper's growth goals. Translate business objectives into clear operating plans, milestones, and metrics.
  • Develop creative strategies to expand provider supply. Go beyond traditional recruiting approaches by identifying new ways to increase clinical capacity. Explore opportunities across sourcing strategy, talent pools, clinician incentives, licensing models, utilization, and other operational levers to unlock growth.
  • Analyze and optimize the provider growth funnel. Develop a deep understanding of the clinician acquisition funnel, including sourcing, conversion, onboarding, and activation. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, prioritize initiatives, and build repeatable systems that scale.
  • Design and execute operational experiments. Develop hypotheses, test new approaches, measure impact, and scale what works. Examples may include increasing average clinician hours, expanding into new clinician segments, improving conversion rates, or redesigning parts of the provider journey.
  • Build scalable processes and systems. Create the frameworks, dashboards, operating rhythms, and accountability mechanisms needed to manage clinical capacity as Prosper grows. Establish the infrastructure required to transition from reactive problem-solving to a predictable growth engine.
  • Partner cross-functionally to drive outcomes. Work closely with Clinical Operations, Recruiting, Product, and executive leadership to align priorities, remove blockers, and ensure we are solving the highest-impact problems.
  • Build and scale a high-performing team. Over time, help define the organizational structure, processes, and talent needed to support provider growth at scale.
About You
  • 6-8 years of experience in strategy & operations, business operations, consulting, investment banking, growth, or another analytical and operational role. Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment is required.
  • Strong strategic problem solver. You know how to break down ambiguous problems, identify the highest-impact drivers, and build clear plans to achieve measurable outcomes. You naturally think from first principles and are comfortable challenging assumptions.
  • Exceptional ownership. You take ownership of outcomes, not just tasks. You have examples of independently driving complex initiatives, moving metrics, and pushing projects forward even when there is no clear playbook.
  • Analytical and data-driven. You are comfortable building models in Excel/Google Sheets, analyzing data, identifying trends, and translating insights into decisions. You understand how inputs drive outputs and can connect operational metrics to business outcomes.
  • Creative and resourceful. You thrive when the obvious solution isn't enough. You have demonstrated the ability to find unconventional approaches, test quickly, learn from results, and scale what works.
  • Experienced operator and team builder. You have experience building teams, functions, or operating structures. You know how to create clarity, establish accountability, and design systems that allow teams to perform at a higher level.
  • Strong cross-functional communicator. You can influence stakeholders across different teams, communicate clearly with executives, and align teams around shared goals.
  • Startup mindset. You are comfortable operating in ambiguity, moving quickly, and taking on whatever is needed to solve important problems.
  • Mission-driven. You care deeply about improving access to high-quality mental health care and want your work to have a meaningful impact on autistic and neurodivergent adults.
