Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in management consulting, product management and strategy, or analytics in a technology company.
  • 5 years of experience in program or project management.
  • 5 years of experience working with executive stakeholders.
  • Experience in product strategy, financial analysis, business generation strategy, economics, executive communication, and go-to-market strategies.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience working in consulting, driving priority programs from initiation through close.
  • Experience working in a client service or customer facing environment. Experience in StratOps, general program management or Chief of Staff responsibilities.

As a Strategy and Operations Program Manager within Google Cloud Security (GCS), you will act as the operational foundation for our organization's critical resources. You will own and optimize our Operating Expense (OpEx) and Headcount management frameworks. You will partner closely with Finance, People Operations, and GCS leadership to ensure budget discipline and hiring velocity. You will drive high-impact, GCS-level operational programs, standardizing processes and mitigating organizational risks.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $150000 - $217000 (USD) 15% bonus target equity benefits

Responsibilities
  • Manage projects across the Engineering portfolio, deliver executive level briefing. Prepare VPs for critical customer meetings and speaking engagements. Collaborate cross-functionally with our partners.
  • Drive the end-to-end budget lifecycle for the organization, including annual planning, performance reporting, and spend optimization. Serve as a liaison to Finance partners, tracking commitments and delivering actionable insights to leadership.
  • Own the integrity of the organization's headcount data. Track hiring progress, attrition, transfers, and open headcount. Partner with hiring managers to align hiring with budget availability and goal allocations.
  • Develop and maintain operational dashboards tracking key metrics such as budget health and hiring velocity.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis to identify process bottlenecks and present recommendations to GCS leadership.
