The Strategy Advancement Professional, Growth Strategy supports the Medicaid Business Development team by advancing national opportunity pipeline development, market intelligence, research to support opportunity pursuit decision making and competitive analysis. This role is responsible for identifying and evaluating growth opportunities, maintaining key pipeline and market insights, and supporting strategic decision-making across the Growth organization. The associate works on problems of moderate scope and complexity and collaborates cross-functionally to support evolving business needs.
The Strategy Advancement Professional, Growth Strategy supports the execution and advancement of pipeline development, market analysis, and competitive intelligence within the Medicaid Growth Strategy team. This role is responsible for maintaining national opportunity insights, supporting market prioritization, gathering and analyzing national opportunity landscape information and contributing to strategic initiatives that inform business development and growth decisions.
Key responsibilities include:
Support pipeline development and market strategy to:
- Maintain and update the national Medicaid opportunity pipeline, including tracking RFP timing, Medicaid managed care program contract status, and emerging trends and activity within Medicaid programs
- Support development, refinement and presentation of the growth prioritization model and related market assessment tools
- Conduct research and analysis to identify and evaluate growth and renewal opportunities in new and existing Medicaid programs
Lead market intelligence and industry research to:
- Gather and analyze external market data, including membership trends, regulatory developments, and competitive dynamics
- Produce regular insights and summaries (e.g., monthly newsletters, market updates) to inform leadership and cross-functional teams
- Monitor key industry trends and policy changes impacting Medicaid growth strategy
Support competitive analysis and positioning to:
- Assist in development and maintenance of competitor profiles, membership tracking, and performance comparisons
- Conduct targeted research to support RFP strategy, capture planning, and market entry decisions
- Partner with internal stakeholders to translate insights into actionable strategic recommendations
Maintain pipeline resources and tools to:
- Manage centralized repositories for contract timelines, market intelligence, and opportunity tracking
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and accessibility of pipeline and market data across the team
- Support development of standardized templates and processes for pipeline and market analysis
Collaborate cross-functionally to:
- Partner with Growth Strategy, Capture, Proposal, Product, and external affairs teams to support business development initiatives
- Contribute to strategic planning efforts that support stakeholder engagement activities across priority markets
- Support ad hoc strategic analyses and leadership requests as needed

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required, or 5+ years of equivalent professional experience in a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in healthcare strategy, business development, market research, or related field
- 2+ years of experience working in healthcare, preferably Medicaid managed care or government-sponsored programs
- Experience analyzing market trends, competitive dynamics, and/or growth opportunities
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Medicaid business development, pipeline strategy, or growth initiatives
- Experience working on Medicaid competitive procurements (RFPs, RFAs, ITNs, etc.)
- Familiarity with Medicaid market structures, state programs, and procurement processes
- Experience conducting competitor analysis or market intelligence in a healthcare setting
- Experience developing presentations or written materials for executive-level audiences

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$71,100 - $97,800 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
