Cleveland Wheel and Brake Systems (CWBS) is a systems integrator that provides aircraft braking systems and key system components including wheels, brakes, and hydraulic components for the general aviation, turboprop, business jet, rotorcraft and military markets. Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Develops and implements strategic sourcing initiatives to support organizational goals related to cost, quality, service, supplier performance, and operational efficiency. Leads supplier selection, sourcing strategies, contract negotiations, work transfer efforts, and supplier relationship management activities. Partners with operations, engineering, quality, finance, business development, contracts, and leadership teams to optimize supplier performance, reduce risk, and support long-term supply chain strategies.

Key Deliverables of the Position
  • Evaluates current sourcing strategies and suppliers by commodity and creates long term strategic plans that align with company goals
  • Effective sourcing strategies supporting quality, cost, and operational objectives
  • Successful negotiation and management of supplier contracts and agreements
  • Improved supplier performance, risk management, and procurement efficiency
  • Cost reduction, supplier consolidation, and strategic sourcing improvements
  • Reliable supplier selection and relationship management processes
  • Compliance with procurement standards, policies, and sourcing requirements
  • Strong leadership and cross functional collaboration
  • Cross-functional alignment supporting organizational sourcing and supply chain goals

Education and Experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of sourcing strategies and supply chain concepts
  • Bachelor's degree. Concentration n Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related discipline preferred
  • Typically requires 6+ years of sourcing, procurement, or supply chain experience including leadership responsibilities
