Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager - DC Infrastructure Equipment to help expand and scale the next generation of Oracle Cloud data centers.

OCI's Global Strategic Sourcing organization is responsible for strategic decisions that impact supplier cost, technical capabilities, supply availability, and our ability to deliver critical infrastructure equipment to our data centers. This role requires a strong combination of strategic sourcing expertise, commercial acumen, supplier management, and technical understanding of data center infrastructure equipment.

As a Strategic Sourcing Manager, you will develop and execute category strategies, lead supplier negotiations, manage strategic supplier relationships, and partner across Oracle to ensure our infrastructure requirements are supported by competitive cost, reliable supply, and strong supplier performance.

The ideal candidate has experience sourcing technically complex infrastructure equipment and is comfortable operating at the intersection of technical requirements and commercial strategy. Relevant equipment categories may include UPS, PDU, busway, RPP, transformers, switchgear, generators, batteries, and cooling equipment.

  • Lead cross-functional and cross-line-of-business teams to drive competitive cost, supplier performance, and supply chain efficiencies.
  • Serve as a primary interface with strategic suppliers and build strong, productive supplier relationships.
  • Lead supplier negotiations and execute contractual agreements while maintaining product and commercial competitiveness.
  • Conduct competitive supplier analysis, cost modeling, market analysis, and evaluation of supply chain alternatives.
  • Evaluate supplier proposals and quotations against Oracle requirements and standards.
  • Identify and implement supply chain initiatives, process improvements, and best practices that improve efficiency and supplier performance.
  • Track supplier performance and provide feedback to ensure Oracle requirements and standards are achieved.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to influence product and supplier selection based on continuity of supply, cost, and technology.
  • Build constructive stakeholder relationships across Oracle and influence decisions across different lines of business.
  • Represent Oracle Cloud Infrastructure with senior leaders and executives at strategic suppliers.
  • Provide direction and specialized knowledge on supply chain strategies and continuous cost improvement through supplier and partner negotiations.
  • Apply balanced judgment and strong problem-solving skills to highly complex and ambiguous situations.
  • Mentor colleagues, share expertise, and provide leadership across the organization.
  • Promote agility, adaptability, continuous improvement, and the exploration of new ideas.


Qualifications
  • Experience in strategic sourcing, category management, procurement, supplier management, or supply chain management, with responsibility for infrastructure equipment or hardware.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing strategic sourcing or category plans.
  • Experience managing supplier relationships and serving as a key interface between suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience with supplier negotiations and contractual agreements, including driving competitive cost and commercial outcomes.
  • Experience conducting supplier analysis, cost modeling, market analysis, proposal/quote evaluation, or supply chain analysis to support sourcing decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders across business, technical, and supplier organizations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, complex, and ambiguous environment


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience sourcing data center infrastructure equipment or other technically complex infrastructure hardware.
  • Experience with one or more infrastructure equipment categories such as UPS, PDU, busway, RPP, transformers, switchgear, generators, batteries, or cooling equipment.
  • Demonstrated experience developing strategies that balance continuity of supply, cost, technology, supplier performance, and business requirements.
  • Experience representing an organization and managing relationships with senior leaders or executives at strategic suppliers.
  • Experience leading cross-functional sourcing initiatives, supply chain improvements, or supplier-performance programs.
  • Experience mentoring, coaching, or providing leadership to colleagues.
  • 8 years of relevant experience and a BA/BS degree preferred.


Qualifications

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $102,300 to $209,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
