POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a strategic-minded and results-driven Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead our sourcing operations and optimize procurement strategies. This role is pivotal in managing supplier relationships, tracking metrics and benchmarking, reducing costs, and ensuring the timely and high-quality acquisition of goods and services.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop and implement efficient sourcing and category management strategies.
• Analyze procurement costs and identify opportunities to reduce expenditure.
• Negotiate contracts and secure favorable terms with suppliers and vendors.
• Review and manage supplier contracts for feasibility and compliance.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with key suppliers.
• Conduct market research to identify new sourcing opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align sourcing with business needs.
• Perform cost and scenario analysis, benchmarking, and risk assessments.
• Lead and develop the procurement team to ensure high performance (includes direct and dotted line people responsibilities)
• Monitor supplier performance and ensure adherence to quality and delivery standards.

EDUCATION & TRAINING:
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or Supply Chain Management.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• 5-7 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management.
• Proven track record in contract negotiation and supplier management.
• Familiarity with sourcing software and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, financial, and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to interpret market trends and make data-driven decisions.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or Supply Chain Management.
• Certifications such as CPSM, CSCP, or CPM.
• Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing strategic initiatives.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Position is at least 80% to 95% at a desk working with computer. Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Performs other physical activities including use of fingers, sitting, stooping, bending, crouching, talking, hearing, and performing repetitive motions. Visual acuity requirements include color, depth perception and field of vision necessary to prepare and analyze data and figures, operate a computer terminal, and conduct extensive reading. The incumbent will be subject to inside environmental conditions.
