We are seeking a highly analytical and results-driven Strategic Sourcing Analyst to support sourcing initiatives across multiple commodities, including machinery, applicators, and high-volume components.
This role will play a key part in:
- Supplier strategy
- Cost optimization
- Lead time reduction
- Sourcing execution
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in supplier management, cost analysis, and procurement/planning processes within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute sourcing strategies by commodity (machining, assembly, electronics, tooling, etc.)
- Lead RFQs, negotiations, and supplier selection
- Analyze cost breakdowns (material, labor, overhead, logistics)
- Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities
- Drive lead time reduction initiatives and supply continuity
- Manage and optimize supplier performance (quality, delivery, cost)
- Support dual sourcing and supplier consolidation strategies
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and agreements
Work cross-functionally with:
- Supply Chain (Materials Planning)
- Engineering
- Operations
- Quality
Job Requirements- Establishing and executing mid-term and long-term sourcing strategies for assigned categories.
- Leading supplier negotiations and contract development in alignment with business objectives.
- Managing supplier relationships to ensure achievement of cost, delivery, and performance commitments.
- Partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to leverage global spend and optimize supplier footprints.
- Identifying innovation, design-to-cost, and early supplier involvement opportunities.
- Researching market, technology, and industry trends to inform sourcing strategies.
What your background should look likeRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in: Supply Chain, Engineering, Business / Finance
3-7 years of experience in Strategic sourcing, Procurement, Supplier management
Technical SkillsStrong knowledge of:
- Machining / metal fabrication / assembly processes
- Industrial supply chains
- Advanced Excel skills (analysis, modeling, cost comparisons
- Ability to interpret: drawings, BOMs, technical specifications
- Experience with SAP (MM module preferred):
- Info Records and Source Lists
- Purchase Orders
Soft skills- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple suppliers and priorities
- Strong communication (internal & external stakeholders)

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to have)
Experience with: Tooling / applicators / machinery sourcing, Data connectivity / electronics components
Understanding of tariffs and trade impacts, should-cost modeling
CompetenciesCOMPENSATION• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $113,800 - $170,700 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
