Strategic Sales Relationship Manager

SUMMARY

This position is responsible for supporting the design and execution of relationship and engagement strategies across private capital market (PCM) firms, driving high-quality business outcomes for Insperity. This role serves as a trusted advisor to Strategic Sales, Sellers, Pricing & Review, and service delivery teams, to align cross-functional efforts to accelerate pipeline development, expand portfolio penetration, and convert opportunities into measurable revenue and worksite employee (WSEE) growth. The position ensures consistent execution of engagement and solution strategies across PCM relationships, supporting portfolio company onboarding and collaborating with deal teams and sellers to articulate value, align solution structure, and advance opportunities through the pipeline to achieve revenue and WSEE objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Builds and maintains relationships with internal stakeholders including Strategic Sales, Sales Management, Pricing & Review, and service delivery teams to align execution across PCM engagements.
  • Supports sales teams with insights into portfolio dynamics, engagement strategy, and historical performance to inform opportunity development.
  • Participates in strategy planning discussions and solution development for new business opportunities across PCM firms and their portfolio companies.
  • Owns and manages relationships with assigned private equity and private capital market firms.
  • Maps and maintains intelligence on portfolio companies, investment theses, and key stakeholders at both firm and portfolio company levels.
  • Leads strategic account planning and support quarterly business reviews with PCM firm stakeholders.
  • Monitors market activity including acquisitions, exits, and fund activity to identify engagement and pipeline opportunities.
  • Drives portfolio penetration by identifying and coordinating upsell and cross-sell opportunities across portfolio companies.
  • Supports development and execution of firm-level engagement strategies, including HR thesis alignment and strategic partnerships (e.g., ACG).
  • Tracks engagement performance, portfolio activity, and pipeline contribution through effective use of CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce)

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma is required. Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of related experience is required. Experience in customer service and ability to communicate complex issues in a compelling manner is preferred.

Travels: Yes, up to 25% of time.
