Position Title:Strategic Planning and Execution Director
Job Description:Strategic Planning and Execution Director Location: This role requires associates to be in-office
3 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office.

The
Strategic Planning and Execution Director is responsible for strategic planning and customer insight work in partnership with business units and will be part of the Carelon Execution Center of Excellence which is nested within Carelon's Strategy & Growth organization. Will work across Carelon businesses to accelerate Carelon's most critical priorities through strategic problem solving, capability building, and execution. Prior engagements include business unit strategy development, new capability development, and operating model design.
How you will make an impact:- Manages strategic projects, reports and analysis. Leads the development and direction of selected issues and projects
- Supports complex, high-profile initiatives (at times multiple initiatives concurrently) at the direction of the VP of Growth & Strategy
- Understands all aspects of the business and partners with executive leadership to define strategy and successful criteria for the future
- Translates strategy into defined tactics, programs/projects priorities, and timelines to turn strategy into reality
- Facilitates or leads discovery sessions with business unit and growth & strategy teams to define strategy, scope, and success criteria of key initiatives
- Builds and leverages relationships to provide innovative solutions to complex business problems
- Identifies and proposes opportunities to improve initiative's results based on continuous monitoring and needs assessments
- Propagates execution methods, techniques, or approaches that improve execution confidence and reduce risk
- Responsible for the development implementation and monitoring of line of business planning and project activities
- Travels to worksite and other locations as necessary
Minimum RequirementsRequires a BA/BS degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:- Strong program management skills and a track record of working through ambiguity in a complex, multi-stakeholder corporate environment is preferred.
- Prior strategy or management consulting experience is preferred.
- Experience translating complex, technical information into presentation-friendly formats, including graphical displays, to a wide variety of internal and external executive audiences is strongly preferred.
- Healthcare domain experience on the payor or provider side preferred
- Prior experience supporting complex, high-profile initiatives is strongly preferred.
- Program/project set-up, advisory, governance, and management experience is preferred.
- Developing and delivering Executive-level communications is preferred, as all internal clients are sVP+ Leaders
- Master's degree preferred.
For candidates working in person or virtually in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $ 126,000 to $207,900
