Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, or 5 years with advanced degree.
  • Experience in the Consumer Electronics, Auto, OEMs, Telecom, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology industries.

About the job

The Google Pixel Business Development team drives global product innovation by building strategic partnerships across the mobile ecosystem. Responsible for feature strategy, complex agreements, and long-term relationships, the team collaborates with top app developers and tech providers through fast-moving, highly cross-functional initiatives.

As the International Business Development Manager for Pixel partnerships, you will establish relationships with our product and engineering counterparts across the key regions to drive business, product and partner strategy while cultivating and executing complex partnerships with critical partners and key technology providers across the US and Japan, to support product needs and drive business growth within the regions.

You will be the primary negotiator on partner engagements to enable product features on Pixel ecosystem devices as well as the go-to relationship manager for critical regional partners. You will be the subject matter expert on Pixel's strategic deals with them as you partner closely with cross-functional teams to proactively resolve business and technical issues and identify new partnerships and collaboration opportunities.

Note: This role requires dual-fluency capability in both Japanese and English: you must possess professional Japanese language skills to lead Japan-based partnerships on top of the wider global Pixel partnership opportunities and align effectively with global headquarters. The role combines senior-level business development, partner management, executive-level alignment and day-to-day execution.

This role will require the ability to travel internationally and domestically at least 25% of the time.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $140000 - $204000 (USD) 15% bonus target equity benefits

Responsibilities
  • Lead, maintain, and evolve high-impact partnerships with key partners in the US and Japan, including critical local developers, technology providers, marquee brands, and telecom industry players.
  • Structure and negotiate highly complex, first-of-kind deals and software/GTM integration partnerships with senior-level executives. Navigate and manage contracts through their entire life cycle.
  • Act as the strategic partner lead to proactively resolve high-priority issues, including orchestrating external response plans for P0 product issues and driving critical feature parity to OtherOS.
  • Collaborate across global cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Marketing, Legal, Operations) to structure initiatives and present recommendations to senior leaders.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership for regional Pixel teams by driving product strategy through partner feedback, competitive analysis, and sharp market insights.
