Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, or 5 years with advanced degree.
  • Experience in the Consumer Electronics, Auto, OEMs, Telecom, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology industries.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across multiple levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.

Preferred qualifications:
  • MBA or Master's degree in a related field.
  • Extensive experience leading complex, cross-functional partnership initiatives with a significant impact on business outcomes.
  • Deep understanding of the CTV and payTV industry, key platforms and trends (e.g., CTV/OTT distribution, payTV unbundling, rebundling of streaming services) and online advertising ecosystem (ad serving, ad exchanges, programmatic advertising).
  • Proven ability to identify, evaluate, and prioritize strategic partnership opportunities that align with business objectives.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience presenting to and influencing executives.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills, with a track record of securing favorable terms and building consensus.


About the job
As Strategic Partner Development Lead, Sellside Distributor Partnerships, you will manage ad infrastructure and programmatic ad inventory partnerships with strategic video partners to foster development of the Connected TV (CTV) ecosystem, while also discovering areas for joint innovation and deeper partnership. You both lead and work in collaboration with account teams on the strategic direction for partner accounts, drive growth opportunities, and align internal stakeholders to execute on account priorities. You will build long-lasting relationships with executives and operational leads at our top Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and telco partners while staying close to emerging trends in the CTV and streaming industry to help shape the strategy of our team. You will work on existing partnerships and ensure partner success to drive cross-Google deals and upscale potential opportunities.

You possess strong relationship-building skills and are adept at resolving partnership, technical and financial issues with partners in order to best represent our users, products and programs. You anticipate how decisions are made, understand complex revenue lines, and persistently explore and uncover the business needs of key partners. In this role, you will apply your payTV industry knowledge, business development skills and product understanding to expand Google's partner base, revenue, and influence in the CTV industry. You comfortably flex your technical platform and revenue-driving skills to optimize partner use of Google Ad Manager ads serving solution.The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google's Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google's own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google's user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Responsibilities
  • Build a deep understanding of a partner's business, priorities, and challenges and work with Google leaders on overall video distributor and partner strategies.
  • Strengthen relationships and build business cases with leading video distributor partners in the CTV ecosystem, and create and drive executive partner engagement strategy to develop deep and trusted relationships with executives internally and externally.
  • Interpret the full scope of partner monetization and ad serving, including inventory trends, direct and indirect channel priorities, competitors used and how ad monetization fits into larger business strategy.
  • Collaborate with technical and monetization specialist teams to manage and grow revenue, product adoption, and relationships with CTV distributor partners.
  • Drive complex, strategic transactions across multiple Google product areas and develop renewal and product upsell strategy, negotiate term sheets, manage internal approvals processes, contract negotiations and compliance processes.
